Changing advanced system settings to "show thumbnails instead of icons" and vice versa Uninstalling Google File Stream (others had mentioned problems with that) Restarting Windows Explorer was the first thing I tried and it did not work. I got it fixed, and have posted the following elsewhere: I found that I was able to get rid of those files if I went at them from another account. Followed by SFC scan, which helps in taking care of other file
Running DISM will help check whether there are file corruptions and fix them.
